To mark its 40th anniversary and transition to employee ownership, KieranTimberlake partnered on a refreshed identity and digital experience that reflects the architecture practice’s long-standing commitment to sustainability, research and innovation. The rebrand positions the studio on a more contemporary footing while retaining the rigour that has defined its work for decades.

Athletics developed the identity through a series of collaborative design sprints; the new system balances technical precision with a more human, narrative-led approach. A typographic palette combining sans, serif and semi-mono styles allows the identity to shift between specification-like clarity and broader storytelling, while a bold colour palette references both modernist traditions and the materials found within KieranTimberlake’s architecture.

Alongside the visual identity, the verbal strategy emphasises the studio’s role as a generous and thoughtful partner. The resulting system captures the tension central to the practice: exacting, research-driven design communicated with warmth, openness and clarity.
