London-based design studio ACRE has developed a new visual identity for Prose, a communication agency operating at the intersection of culture and identity. Working across writing, design and film, Prose collaborates with talent from the worlds of literature and cinema, with a portfolio that includes campaigns for Cartier, Louis Vuitton and Prada.
At the heart of the new identity is a bespoke logotype inspired by historic British type design. Its soft serifs and calligraphic qualities give the wordmark an elegant, distinctly editorial character, while creating a strong sense of personality.
The identity is further defined by a pair of parentheses derived from the letter ‘O’. Divided into two segments, the forms become a flexible framing device that can dynamically showcase Prose’s work across digital platforms and social media.
The accompanying website extends this typographic language, providing an immersive archive of Prose’s projects and reinforcing the agency’s position within contemporary cultural communications.
