Eli Gross: Total Designer is a new bilingual publication exploring the work and legacy of Eli Gross, a pioneering modernist designer whose practice connected Israel and Europe. Created by Liad Shadmi, the book aims to bring renewed attention to a significant yet relatively overlooked figure in the history of modern design.

Gross worked across disciplines, embracing a broad approach to visual communication that extended beyond traditional graphic design. His work reflects the modernist belief that design could shape not only how things look, but how people experience information, culture and their surroundings.

The publication brings together archival material, graphic work and contextual research to present a more complete picture of Gross’s contribution. Produced in both Hebrew and English, Total Designer also highlights the cultural connections within Gross’s practice and the wider story of modernism in Israel and Europe.

The project is currently seeking support on Kickstarter, helping bring this important piece of design history into print.
