Play reimagined their brand identity and created a strategic foundation to unify the parent brand and its sub-brands under a cohesive system, tailored to a more technical, developer-focused audience.

Play evolved the existing parrot logo into a symbol of iteration and lifted an abstract, soaring bird formed from geometric shapes and fluid arcs, expressing motion and progress. The wordmark, based on Lausanne by Weltkern, features custom glyphs that echo this sense of uplift.

A sky-inspired palette of blues reflects both atmosphere and developers’ preference for dark mode, while sunset hues and greens add depth and personality. A unified icon system extends the visual language across products, supported by generative, node-based graphics that evoke AI thinking.

The result is a flexible, expressive system that communicates clarity, capability, and momentum across every touchpoint.
