Koto has partnered with MachineX to deliver a comprehensive brand evolution and new website for the decentralised exchange powering the emerging Machine Economy. Built on Peaq blockchain technology, MachineX is a peer-to-peer marketplace where humans and machines trade everything from DePIN utility tokens to space, time and energy, forming the backbone of a new autonomous economy.

While the category holds vast potential, it can be complex to understand. The new brand identity was designed to bridge that gap, clearly expressing technical ambition and credibility while giving the Machine Economy a more emotional and culturally resonant voice.

Developed from Koto’s Berlin studio, the work is guided by the concept ‘Human x Machine’ and a manifesto envisioning a world where physical and digital realities merge. Drawing inspiration from Star Wars and Isaac Asimov, the retro-futurist identity features vivid colours, expressive typography, and a characterful mascot.
