Porto Rocha has unveiled a bold new identity for MASP (São Paulo Museum of Art), redefining how one of Brazil’s most iconic cultural institutions presents itself to the world. The updated identity respects MASP’s modernist legacy anchored in Lina Bo Bardi’s striking architecture while introducing a flexible system designed to evolve with the museum’s expanding programming and diverse audiences.

At its core is a bespoke typeface inspired by the building’s concrete structure and visual rhythm, paired with a vibrant, modular grid that mirrors MASP’s display strategies. The visual system accommodates everything from scholarly exhibitions to community-led events, all while maintaining a distinct, cohesive tone.

Through colour, motion, and layout, the identity bridges historical gravitas with contemporary energy. It’s a dynamic reflection of MASP’s role as a cultural engine rooted in art history, yet actively shaping the present. The rebrand ensures MASP remains visually recognisable, accessible, and future-focused.
