Inspired by the vitality of Costa Rica’s famed Blue Zone, the Nicoya brand draws its creative energy from nature’s rhythms and the human pursuit of wellness. In crafting the visual identity, Gärde Design embraced the fluid elegance of the Art Nouveau era, celebrated for its organic forms and romantic gesture, and translated it into a modern skincare experience.

At the heart of the project are three bespoke elements: a custom wordmark offering clarity and distinction, a tailored typeface for body copy that delivers soft legibility with minimalist grace, and an emblem that echoes botanical motion, designed to adapt, expand, and reflect renewal. Rendered in a calming, natural palette and expressive of renewed cycles of care, the packaging system feels both refined and welcoming, exuding quiet confidence through tactile design cues and gentle forms. The result is a holistic identity that embodies Nicoya’s ethos of timeless vitality and grounded elegance.
