Stockholm studio Bedow was commissioned by PostNord in 2025 to create a striking stamp series honouring five double-winners of Sweden’s esteemed Bragdguldet award: Björn Borg, Ingemar Stenmark, Anja Pärson, Sarah Sjöström and Armand Duplantis. Instead of conventional athlete portraits, each figure is composed entirely of typographic headlines drawn from the Svenska Dagbladet archives, specifically those announcing each athlete’s Bragdguldet victories. This typographic layering transforms silhouette-like forms into a fusion of sport and editorial history, visually connecting sport with graphic narrative.

Complementing the letter-formed figures, each stamp includes the athlete’s name, winning years and a Pop-Art–inspired dot pattern denoting their sport. At postcard scale, these designs balance clarity and impact while providing collectors with exclusive bonus material and archival context.

This project celebrates typographic craft, journalistic legacy and athletic achievement in one elegant miniature series.
