Stripe transformed online commerce by simplifying digital payments for businesses worldwide. Over time, it evolved beyond a payment processor into a comprehensive financial infrastructure platform used by some of the world’s largest organisations. As Stripe undertook a major rebrand to reflect this expanded role, Play was engaged to extend the new identity across product UI and data visualisation systems.

The team developed a scalable design framework capable of communicating information at both global and granular levels. The UI system was structured around screens and widgets, enabling complex financial data to remain clear, accessible, and visually engaging. Through careful refinement of typography, spacing, color, and motion, the design language balanced functionality with storytelling.

Building on Stripe’s distinctive visual identity, Play expanded its color palette with bold gradients that reinforced the brand’s optimistic character. The data visualization system introduced flexible charting, mapping, and diagram tools, allowing users to explore everything from worldwide trends to individual metrics with clarity and consistency.
