Ashfall Studio teamed up with Tekuma, an urban innovation practice spun out of MIT, to redefine its brand identity for a global audience. Tekuma works across 20+ countries, advising on future-facing cities and communities, and needed a visual system that could reflect both institutional authority and forward-looking ambition.

Ashfall developed a refined identity built on controlled contrast, precision-engineered forms, and reflective surfaces balanced with subtle motion and human-centric details. The result is a vocabulary that feels both robust and alive, anchoring Tekuma’s presence in digital and physical contexts.

A standout element is the signature 3D motif, crafted to feel engineered yet organic, which runs consistently across identity touchpoints. Ashfall’s approach draws on simple geometric shapes inspired by urban planning, circles and squares that animate to signal momentum and narrative.

The identity scales beautifully across layouts and formats, combining structured grids, purposeful typography, and a striking monochrome palette with a vivid accent to convey seriousness with energy.
