Building Common Ground is the identity for a collective of three studios working across design, community engagement and delivery, focused on strengthening rural places and the people within them. The project sits at the intersection of planning, construction and social infrastructure, aiming to reflect local character rather than impose a fixed aesthetic.
Mast developed a visual system built around three forms converging into a shared centre, representing collaboration without erasing individual voices. This flexible mark extends into a broader identity system, including generative landscape shapes drawn from real geographies the collective works in.
A grounded, place-led colour palette and clear geometric typography support the system, balancing clarity with warmth. Across applications from site materials to digital platforms, the identity remains adaptable, reflecting the organisation’s evolving work while staying rooted in place and community.
