Galería Cayón, one of Europe’s leading contemporary art galleries, has unveiled a new brand identity and website designed to place the artwork at the centre of its visual communication. Established in Madrid in 2005, the gallery operates across Madrid, Menorca and Manila, with a programme spanning mid-century and contemporary art.
Cayón is known for its focus on spatial relationships, visual perception and conceptual practices, representing influential artists including Joan Miró, Julio González, Yves Klein, Dan Flavin, Carlos Cruz-Diez, Jesús Rafael Soto, Carl Andre and Stanley Whitney, alongside a new generation of contemporary artists.
The identity by HIRUKI is built around the concept of empty space as a stage for art. Rather than competing with the work, the visual language creates a restrained framework that allows individual artists and exhibitions to take centre stage.
Typography, composition and negative space form a flexible identity system that adapts across exhibitions, artists, publications and digital platforms. The result is a considered contemporary art gallery identity that balances recognition with flexibility, allowing Galería Cayón’s visual presence to evolve alongside its ambitious programme.
